Newsletter #7: EXCITING NEWS!

Oct 31st, 2020

Feliz Halloween!

We know that we sent the last update earlier this month, but we have some exciting news that we just couldn't wait two months to share with you!

Firstly, we are absolutely thrilled to welcome a new member to our official team: Julia Kwan! Julia is a third year at UBC who grew a heart for the community in Zaragoza during her first visit in August 2017, and had the privilege of going back for a second time in August 2019. She will be working as our part-time Fundraising Coordinator, assisting Jackie in all things fundraising-related. We (especially Jackie) are so excited to have her fresh perspective and endless talent as part of our team, and are thankful to God for providing this opportunity for EDUPAVI Canada to grow. If you would like to reach her by email, you can do so at julia@edupavi.ca.

Secondly, we are excited to announce that tomorrow we are launching a social media campaign called the EDUPAVI 10 Book Challenge! All throughout November, we are challenging our supporters to share 10 things that they have read that have made an impact on them, to share their belief that everyone should have the right to learn how to read - no matter their background.

That includes you! To learn more and participate, click the link below!

And lastly, we are so thankful to all of our monthly donors who were able to make it to our "Dinner Table Meet & Greet" event on Oct 25th, where we had the chance to interact with and hear the hearts of the team in Guatemala firsthand over Zoom. It was so amazing to be reminded that although we serve from different parts of the world, we are united as a singular team with a deeply meaningful purpose.

If you are not yet a monthly donor, please consider visiting edupavi.ca/donate to learn more about how you can join this story of restoration, provide consistent support for at-risk children and receive opportunities to get to know the real people you are supporting!

As always, we are so thankful for your continued interest in and support of this mission to dignify lives through education. We hope you have a safe and happy rest of your Halloween evening!

Until next time,
Team EDUPAVI Canada
